Wig struggles

Hey guys! Sorry for the lack of posts lately. I've been trying, I swear. It's been rough for me though because I've become incredibly forgetful and I'm also doing a lot of personal self help and overall life maintenance that fitting in blogging and art is incredibly difficult to do at the same time. But well, on another note I'll update you guys on my latest what nots.

So I regularly check my wigs for any tangles or problems like stains or discoloration or if any of my wigs need to get washed. Yesterday for me was a wig maintenance day! I spent the day getting makeup out of my cosplay wigs and restyling some of them too. One of my wigs that I restyled was my Aeon wig. She looked like a serious mess, but I grew to love it in the end.

Here's how the updated, restyled version of aeon looks now! I'm so happy that she looks so great in the front because the back is honestly such a matted mess but due to the fact that I'm poor and that this wig is a cheap, eBay wig...I have to just live and let go.

I may try and gamble and buy some extensions or wefts in this color for a decently cheap price to try and cover the matted hair up, but we'll see where the future takes us. I still need to fix my Aeon cosplay as the majority of it is undoubtedly a mess. I have to buy several wig stands before I'm able to fix my Maya wit though... It's a struggle without a doubt.

    1. Oh, yeah! I tried to make my brown wig look at least pleasant, but I failed. Laarnie, you did a great job trying to make it look beautiful! Thanks for posting and keeping me updated!

    2. Hi, Carla! It's such a pain trying to make your wig look good.. I even used the wax to make the hairs shine, but it stuck to each other..

    3. Thank you for reading Karen and Carla! I agree. It really is a pain sometimes to provide wigs with the tender love and care that they need, but they always look nice after the work is done! :)

Also, I haven't heard of wax to make hair shine! That sounds really interesting. Is the wax similar to the beeswax that you use for sewing? I'd love to know!
      Yours Truly,
      Laarnie
