Silly Days and Amazing Accomplishments

Long story short, I guess short weeks and small days are the most interesting.

Ceramic Dinnerware Set

For art, we were asked to make a dinnerware set using porcelain clay and then we were taught how to glaze them afterwards. Although I enjoyed the assignment and working with clay, I absolutely hate my pieces..but that's besides the point.

Fused Glass - Finished!

All the pieces and their closeups are all finished! Soldered pieces are soldered and any pieces used for wire wrapping are also done! Just click the read more to see.

Strawberry Raspberry Smoothies

I don't exactly know why, but I have a love for making drinks (regardless of what they are) and then putting them in containers for everyone to enjoy.

The different glasses that the drinks get put in provide different looks and they're all so wonderful when you truly think about it.

At least to me they are.

Glass....again.....prior to the kiln firing + after

International Day 2014

International Day. Long story short, a lot of food. A lot of laughs. A couple of moments of pure depressing sadness and crying. A lot of shouting and fun. A lot of this and that. In the end, no one threw up so I guess that's what matters most.

Partially Fused Glass - After

They're out of the kiln and are just wonderful! I never really have much to say about these, but if you're interested in seeing, feel free to.

Fused Glass - Alpaca!

The alpaca finally came out of the kiln and I'm so happy that it's done! Although due to the high amount of heat, it came out a little weirder than I had hoped it to. Perhaps if I had put it in the same temperature as my jellyfish, things would've ended up smoother and much better according to the design I had originally created..?

Tumblr Doodles

I was offering some hilariously silly doodles for anyone who was interested in making ship names...but that's besides the point.

The end uvu

Fused Glass - Partially Fused

Here are the next bundle of pieces to be dealt with! Toot toot~~

Off days, Free times

While I know the coffee from the Coffee Bean and Tea leaf might not be the best, I kind of like it more than Starbucks...why...I'm not exactly sure. But long story short, I enjoy it..and I enjoy the free times I have with my friends too. I guess I'll just leave it at that.

Cerritos Mall || Fashion Board interview & adventures

Today I had my fashion board interview and I had the misfortune of having to be late due to classes... the wonderful beauty of it all though was being able to linger around the mall in cute stores like the Sanrio mall and the like.

Free days with the family!

Long story short, we went bowling! And.. I can't do bowling to save my life.

Art piece gifts!

Reis gave me his shibori scarf and Jasmine gave me her wonderful bird's nest with her little alien theme!! It's the absolute cutest thing ever. Oh my goodness.

Free days with Bianca

Long story short, I really enjoy spending free days with Bianca. They're really nice and very comforting.

Saturdays

We spent today working at one of the Forum Festivals here at school and then everyone just mutually agreed that we'd go out to eat afterwards at Town Center.

Somehow, we ended up at Chipotle and we all managed to find something to enjoy about either our food, my matcha iced coffee from The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, or the mochi that I had brought over from Zion market.

One of the best parts would definitely be how we were asked by this woman sitting next to us what we were eating (the mochi) and had asked us what it was and where we had gotten it. It made me more than happy to let her have one because she looked so happy to try to taste it herself! She was so happy and she looked as if she had doors opened up to a new flavor. I'm really glad that I offered her one, I rarely see people happy over the little things anymore!

Afterwards, we had gone back home only to end up leaving again as my mom had wanted me to get some food from Church's Chicken for tonight's dinner.

There was this sweet little girl who was about 4 or 5 years old who kept watching and looking at me though. She was so sweet and so playful, although she spent most of her time observing me because I was in a long, long dress covered in flowers. I didn't exactly know what to do, so I bought her one of these cute little diamonds and it came out a sweet pink the size of a quarter. She was so ecstatic to have it, she ran up to her parents and tried to figure out what it was! How adorable!

Although I finally got my food in the end. Life was great.

So one of the counselors had gone to Korea and brought back some souvenirs for everyone and had gave one to my really sweet art teacher and she had given it to me!

Fused Jellyfish!

Our fused glass pieces just came out of the kiln and I'm more than happy to say that this beautiful art piece had made its way out safely!

I have no idea what I'm going to do with it, but I know that I am absolutely IN LOVE with it.

Fusion Tea Bar : Taro Coconut Macarons

My mom and my aunt had gone out together for food and they had brought back something absolutely amazing! Taro coconut macaron ice cream cookies! They taste absolutely amazing and I fell in love with them. Although taro isn't exactly my favorite with coconut, I'm sure it's something worth trying if you're really worried about it.

Bach Trumpet!

Today in jazz band, England had gotten some instruments from a shop that has promotions where they lend out instruments to bands to let their students test them out! I had the greatest time playing it. It's a Bach trumpet with a third valve slide that has its own tuning slide!

It has a magnificent sheen to it and I absolutely fell in love with how sleek and smooth the valves were. The spit valves were a little odd, but I play on an old fashioned Yamaha that's kind of a bike compared to this professional trumpet.

The trumpet prices at $3,900 or so if I remember correctly..but is absolutely wonderful and in fantastic condition. There is no wear or tear damage to it and it plays as wonderfully as you're interested in putting the effort to play it.

I guess there's a lot to say that I have fallen in love with this trumpet. It's a shame that I've only been able to play it once...but I really do hope that there'll be a day that I can own my own trumpet. Perhaps one that is as wonderful and amazing as this one... maybe sometime when I fix my TMJ and don't have as big of a problem trying to get myself to practice when I'm in pain from it either!

Here's the pricing for the Bach trumpet!

Farewell you magnificent beauty..you! I hope I'll be able to have another amazing opportunity like this one once again!
