Happy 1 Year Anniversary!

It was our anniversary today and so I took the liberty of spending it with him! I was so, so ,so incredibly happy to spend it with him. We've been together for a year and while it's kind of silly to care so much about something as silly as this...it made me so happy.

Gifted Ceramic mugs!

There's nothing that I love more than getting presents! I know that sounds a little silly, but I feel that everything is worth treasuring and receiving them from others just brightens up my day. Well, the point of this post is to express that .. well..I guess the best part is that my favorite kind of present would definitely be mugs. I've started my own mug collection!

Reis and James had both gifted me their wonderful mugs that they made in their art classes and I had never been happier to receive such wonderful gifts such as these before!

All the little details on Reis's mug are just sweet and wonderful.

I definitely wouldn't drink from it though! I don't think I trust Reis enough to.

James's mug is absolutely amazing. I don't know what about it made me fall in love with it, but I just couldn't take my eyes off of the way he had glazed his mug. The colors are absolutely amazing and I couldn't have asked for a better gift than this! (I have an obsession, I know I do.)

Virgin Cocktail ✧ʕ̢̣̣̣̣̩̩̩̩·͡˔·ོɁ̡̣̣̣̣̩̩̩̩✧Pink Lady

For my history project, the boys in my group had chose one of the popular drinks in the 40s, so naturally they laughed and chose between the pink lady and a couple of others. I had agreed with them that the pink lady would be alright, but I had to be the one to make it.. that's just how the story goes.

In the end, the Pink Lady wasn't a hit amongst the boys...which was honestly no surprise to me. I found it the most interesting because later, after our Jazz band recording for our entry to Disneyland's jazz performances, the entire jazz band liked the taste and the flavor! That was a huge surprise to me...I was so happy!

The recipe for the drink was more of a mix than an actual sheet. I tend to improvise based off of the flavors I get. Here's what I used this time around:

Evaporated Milk
Grenadine (pomegranate syrup)
lime juice
ice (and cold water)
sugar

If you're wondering what the original recipe that I had been working off of, here it is:

Mock Pink Lady Cocktail Recipe
Yield: 3 Cups

1 1/2 c Milk, homogenized
2 tb Lemon juice
1 tb Grenadine
1 tb Sugar, granulated
6 -Ice cubes
Measure milk, lemon juice, grenadine, sugar and ice cubes into blender. Blend until ice is gone. Serve immediately.

When I had gone home with the extras, I had to remake some more because my mom had one of her friends over. Happily, I created some more of the drink, covered the rim with sugar for my mom and salt for her friend (different tastes have different garnishes and all that jazz), and added an orange slice as a little extra.

Well, that's all for this time around..?

Dog days

Very dog, a lot of dog.

Free Fridays || Bowling and food

It's Friday! Thankfully we were finally off of school for the weekend, although there's comps and all there's never a reason to not enjoy the free time while you still have it. I spent my Friday night out with the siblings and with some friends!

Amazing and hilariously fun..although I will remind you that I cannot bowl to save my life.

But Wingstop afterwards is definitely worthwhile!

Scrapbooking the days away

I was asked to do some last minute scrapbooking and I obliged. It was nice and I was provided with some materials along with using up some of my own. I don't know if you'd agree that it was worth the $20 I was paid to create it...but I was more than happy to do it.

Dog tags & Metal Journals

For our art final, we were required to follow a variety of requirements and the majority of my pieces had something to do with me and my past...or about my relationships with the people I'm fond of. I took the liberty of making two things on final day, this copper dog tag that I made for Reis and the journal below.

The journal was created and filled with simple lines, indirectly talking about myself as a person.
The front of the book says, "Love me in the dark" while the back says "Cuddling Kittens, Puppy Dog Kisses".

Regarding the inside of the journal, Moses called it poetry...but I guess it could be called that. It depends on how you look at it.

The lines inside go as shown below:

This is for the child who was never alone. This was inspired by the child without a home. This is loved by the child with an obsession for perfection.A passionate mistake. This is cherished by the child with a taste for mistake. This is loved by the child of the past.Loved by the passion and by the sass. This is for the child that I used to be.The child who had gotten lost in multiple personalities. Fall in love with my bittersweet melancholy. If found, please return to the one who loves for me. Call (562) _ _ _ - _ _ _ _ Tell them that you're with a five year old Laarnie.

I'm a little unsatisfied with the words themselves, but I wrote them as I went through the pages..So I guess it's something I can forgive.

Close ups are after the read more.

Silly group band things,,

Bianca's New Wallet!

One of Bianca's friends from church made this amazing duct tape wallet! It's a trifold and has an amazing amount of pockets along with a coin pouch (using a ziplock bag opening to keep it closed).

It's amazing and it's absolutely adorable.

Metal Unit

What better way to end off the year than with a metal unit?

Morning Brunch

I have this tendency where I wake up and I want to make pancakes and all sorts of things for breakfast...so I did! I made pancakes (using the cute little heart and star set that Omar had bought for me) and a mango smoothie to set off a great day with the family.

Keiro Volunteering (The aftermath)

There's not much to say, other than I will be more than happy to volunteer once more at Keiro next year. This year was amazing and such a blast! I hope I'll be able to keep up the great work and to be able to talk and work together with such great, great people.

Plus, we'd gotten food afterwards and I think that was great..nonetheless.

Prom Asking!

Long story short, it was a lot of paint, a total of $5 in poster material, and a lot of goofs and giggles. I provided the video recording by Leif if anyone's truly interested..? It's at the very bottom of this post!

I've had better days..

Tonight there's the Kokoro kara banquet and there's a lot of things to do..unfortunately I don't exactly know what I'd prefer to do. But Reis had asked me to go with him somewhere, and I was ecstatic to hear it. Unfortunately, I'm not the best kind of person. I found a friend and she wanted me to be with her throughout the time, so I obliged...and Reis felt the opposite of what he was supposed to feel. And to make myself feel better, I spent my money on little things. Because I do that..

I have to admit, I was happy to be there with him..but that's besides the point.
