Gatchaman Crowds -- Hinata Hajime Cosplay {Finished}

Oh my gosh! It's been so long since I last posted. Sorry about that guys. I'm reaching the end of my first college semester and things haven't been the best...but they definitely haven't been the worst either. Here, I'll be showing you guys the finished look of the Hinata Hajime cosplay I finished!

It turned out pretty okay I believe. I don't have the wig or the shoes that are meant to go with the outfit though. So I just dealt with my actual hairstyle and used some shoes that I could use a boot cover over when the time comes.

The materials I used were kind of ehh too. I had bought cotton squares for the yellow, customized a shirt for the top, and used some linen and fabric that was best suited for lining for the skirt. I wish I had access to nicer fabrics, but that's the best I could do you know? College students..poor souls. Also, I'm pretty satisfied with the hair clip! It's made out of a sturdy cardstock material which I believe suited it best, given the fact that Hajime does kirigami.

♡ Fuzzball Earrings ♡

Don't mind the messy shirt, I was baking brownies a while ago and I'm honestly a mess...plus...this post is actually about the earrings in case you were confused. The earrings were made out of fuzzballs that I had made.

The core is a ball of wool roving and then I had wrapped it in faux fur. After all of that, I had sewn it to the earrings ♡
I'm honestly not a huge fan of the regular store bought pompom ball earrings, the ones that seem to be made out of yarn, and the ones that don't seem to be too full and end up looking awkward (mine look awkward too but to be fair I've been feeling them all up because I'm a bit obsessive with textures). If anything, I'd spend the extra money to buy the fullest ones that sit nicely between my pierced ear and my shoulder. Any more than a few inches from where they are now would be awkward...beyond awkward.

I like how they turned out if you ask me! I ended up gifting these to Chesca, but I plan on making another pair for myself when I find more fabric...so maybe I'll make a tutorial then? Most likely won't though because I did get the idea from a Japanese indie brand that I had seen at Moshi Moshi Nippon or Anime Expo. It may have been Liz Lisa, Swankiss, or one of those types. I know I recall seeing it from one of the gyaru styled brands.

Getting Rid of an Old Collared Shirt?

So for one of my cosplays I had to fix up a shirt to customize it. What I ended up doing with the collar was cutting it off as I needed to make a custom one.

But I came to the conclusion that cutting the collar off in a weird way or completely butchering it, I thought of cutting off the collar in a way to wear it comfortably. It turned out pretty in my opinion.

And this is how the collar turned out before buttoning.

What do you think?

Shoe repair (^ν^)

Hey guys! So I've really been lagging get behind on all of my posts so I've been contemplating on getting rid of a lot of things just as a heads up. Something that I have done was repaint a pair of satin heels that I had gotten as a gift in an order that I talked about on my fashion blog. As you can see in the first photo, there's an obvious stain and I was gifting them to Heather for her birthday.

What I had ended up doing was repain ting the entire shoe to get rid of the stain. Using some watered down acrylic paint, I had used a paint brush to paint it on. I tried my best to mask the stain so what I had done was use the paint for an ombré effect.

And here's how they turned out!

"Do you have plans today?" "Did you have something in mind?"

Hey guys! So a while back I had visited the Anaheim Packing District for the first time. We had somehow wound up there...which was definitely a treat.

I'll also be putting this under a cut because of the photo spam.

No lie though, this place has a very particular look. The food is decent in my honest opinion here.. and the aesthetic of the place is a little ridiculous too.

Sunday Mornings

A good portion of my days tend to be filled with staying in bed to help feel better. I've come to find staying in bed with the pup therapeutic on sunny and rainy days.

Striving for happiness and a better me is one of the most difficult journeys I've been forced to face.

Perler Bead Alpaca Love -- MadeofStarStuff

Have you guys seen this gorgeous perler bead alpaca that Michele made for me? I recall posting about it but I wasn't sure if I had shared it here! Based off of the alpacasso alpaca plushes, she created her own personal design and carried through with it with perler beads. I thought it was absolutely adorable and just the cutest thing! I especially love perler bead art because it's the 3D/tangible pixel art aside from cross stitching.

This little cutie is right at home among our fellow alpaca friends <3 p="">

Harajuku Fashion Walk Design Ideas

A little while back, there was an event that I was really, really excited for. We had the first international harajuku fashion walk coming up and there was an event being hosted in Little Tokyo for it and I had really wanted to make an outfit to wear to it.

I had known for a fact that I wanted to wear the wig that you see here from PastelDoll so I had paid extra money to have the wig shipped out in time (which it did!). I was sincerely thankful and I'll be posting up a review on it a little later.

But I had two ideas for the fashion walk. I was going to make either an outfit that was a delightful mix of larme kei and cult party kei or an outfit based on the decora fashion style. The two designs that I had came up with are the ones that you can see above. I had all of the materials and I had a good idea of what I wanted to do and how I had wanted to do it... but due to time constraints and stress levels raising through the roof, I had decided against it.

I had done what I could to go through with the idea, but things didn't work out in the end.

I had wanted to create a design similar to that of the larme kei and cult party kei design with some holographic materials.. but int he end it didn't work out as well as I would have liked it to. I just gave up on it in the end.

You can see the aftermath of my troubles.

Clothing 101-- Miniskirt assignment

So I've been ridiculously busy with my classes and life is on and off stressful.. so I've been taking a lot of days off for myself in case you all haven't noticed. Due to this, I'm a good couple of months behind. It's already November and I have events from May that still need to be published... but as I keep saying.. life only got busier since then.

Moving on, one of my first assignments for my clothing class is to create pieces that are well crafted and designed by ourselves.

Me being me, I had no idea what I was going to do... and then I had found the little butterflies. I had no idea what exactly it was that I was doing but embellishing like a madman tends to be the outcome.

I had taken a metallic silver paint with glitter to create the design that you see here. I had also added it around the edges to create a border-like effect that softened everything up.

And although it isn't as noticeable, I had also tried to do a watercolor design behind all of the butterfly work using acrylic paints.

Rarity Test

Rarity Makeup Test! My wig came in and I was in LOVE. Gotta fix the styling a little bit to suit my tastes better.. but I'm happy with what I have!

International Day!

International day was a whiles away from today, but nonetheless I'd really love to post the pictures that I had taken from it.

I'll be putting this under a read more because of the heavy picture spam.

King DeeDee Plush

Hey guys! So finally posting one of the latest commissions that I had made. This little guy is a recreation of the King DeeDee plush that had been released forever ago.

He's made out of anti pill fleece and has plastic plush eyes. He's also fairly large as you can see from the comparison between the plush and my head. He's... kinda cute.. i think.

But I have to admit that Michele (my love who ordered) is definitely the victor in this cute fest competition.
