Dress Form (Padding & Stand)
Hey guys! So I know it's rather late and that there's been a lot of things going on for me right now and that I've been having very small amounts of time to get my crap together but I hope you're alright with this post. I'll be talking more and showing you guys some progress pictures of my silly ol' dress form. First off, as you can see in the above image, I needed a stand to use and I still had the cardboard tube that my carpet/rug came with so I had brought it with me to school for stuff.
Here's the dress form's shape after it had been cut off of me. We made the line go straight down the spine so that it was easier to deal with and all that.
I had read online though that it was easier to maintain the shape of curves such as breasts and the butt by using padding/padded things. So for the breasts, I had used an old bra that I had been given by Bianca and for the butt I had used some shoulder pads that I had ripped out of one of my coats.
What do you guys think? I'll need some more duct tape to keep it together, but hopefully things go along well!

Slab Wrap
In the meantime, have this post with all the pictures from my slab wrap that I had made in class! We were given one day to make and prep the clays we needed for it and thankfully it didn't turn out to be such a disaster.
The mushrooms and the coils and the butterflies all give it these wonderful forest and tree-like aspects that I just absolutely adore. What do you think?

Dress Form (Little by Little Construction)
Last but not least for today, I will be talking/showing you guys how the dress form is coming along. So, after my sister had cut me out of the darn thing, we had taped up the back end/spine area and I had set it on a cardboard tube that I had for a while because it was what my carpet came rolled up on.
And as time continued, I had duct taped the dress form some more to the cardboard tube, and then I began to stuff it using scrap paper that we had laying around at home.
Slowly, but surely, the dress form began to show itself better and better each day.
Y'know? It's only a little while longer until I can really start to measure around it to make sure that I did it right....but for the meantime, I am incredibly fond of how it's coming along! Hopefully it lasts long enough so that I can use it for that duck tapes contest/scholarship that will happen in the nearby future.

But furthermore, I decided that I was going to use the ceramic watercolors again to glaze my pieces and I have been trying to figure out the secrets to/behind them.

The chapters of my life...
It turns out that I hadn't posted this bundle of photos yet of my journal while I had already posted the "missing pages" post. Sorry about that guys! That definitely must be confusing. Well, I won't exactly be describing each and every page in full detail while providing my own commentary and explanation (hopefully) but the pictures will all still be here regardless. Feel free to simply zoom in by clicking the pictures to see the pages better.

This book/journal that you see here, if you couldn't tell based off of the title of this post, depicts different parts, points, and "pages" of my life. It was created while I was undergoing particular feelings, thoughts, and personalities. Reliving the emotions and the drama inside of my head while splurging and losing myself in the process so dear to me. Truthfully, there are so many different things that I could properly say about this book and each of the different pages of it, but I won't, for everyone's sake. My life, in my honest opinion, is a sob story. An unfortunate story about a young girl born in the dead center of any sob story's heart. But moving on.
The above page was stitched on with yarn and glued beads down to achieve the look that you see above. Similarly, with the dedication page. Then a design was created using ink pens and felt tip permanent markers.

Growing up, I had little of a childhood. I had little idea of what innocence was and what determined it. I had always misinterpreted my memories and the feelings associated with them. Finally, after years and years of analyzing the memories and emotions that I had locked away so dearly to remember my life in a positive way, I had finally determined what they really were. Temporary. A myth. A misinterpretation of my mind's misconstrued miraculous memories.
Children are a myth of innocence if your interpretation of innocence is a synonym for purity or angelic. Children are the protagonists of their childhoods. Childhoods are their stepping stones. Their stepping stones are what changes their "innocence" to "ignorance". Leaving children as what...?

Valentine's Day Gifts from the Sweetheart
This entire post is incredibly late but I just wanted to drop it off and finally post it! These were the wonderful gifts that I had gotten for Valentine's Day from my magnificent and wonderful sweetheart Reis. He bought me a sweet bouquet of flowers, made a little mix for myself consisting of chocolate chips, caramel squares, and almonds, while lasting making the sweetest handmade card.
I know he's not a huge fan of me sharing these things but...it makes me incredibly happy. I love being able to talk about it with others..but I usually don't so I just share everything with whomever decides to stumble upon and read up on my blog. As for myself, I hadn't found the right thing...or made the right thing for my share of our valentine's day celebration yet. It's already the 19th and I'm way, way off....I think I'll figure something out....I think......
Duct Tape Dress Form (Wrapping -- Clingy & Tight)
Hey guys! Sorry for not making a post or anything yesterday. I really wasn't feeling all that well and I wasn't able to come up with anything on the spot when I felt like I was going to puke, pass out, and dissolve into a boiling hot mess of panic, despair, and frustration.
This post will be discussing the adventures that I am going through to create a duct tape dress form as seen around the internet, particularly places like stumbleupon & pintrest. Here's the tutorials that I had used:
The items that I had used was a plastic cling wrap, some scissors, and lots and lots of duct tape (actually, 2 rolls of scotch silver duct tape and some checkered duck tape brand duct tape because I had ran out of tape to use while I had worked on this at school).
My dog was very confused the whole time though. Sorry Pogi. If you're interested in reading more about what I had done, please follow on through. For the record, there are some sights of swimsuit/underwear-like garments so viewer discretion is advised. I sincerely only post about this for documentation purposes and to provide a way for others who ask me questions about things that I do/have done/etc. without sounding like a sad, unfortunate mess of a human being with a messy human brain.
