Object Head (Day 2!)

Hey guys! Here's the second post of the object head creation. We had started the painting process of the screen after we had finished doing the basic spray paint job.

We had used several colors that you can see below.

Whites, champagne and copper metallic paints, a cream color alongside a nice deep, dark red, and some gold.

Here's how it turned out all around.

We used several techniques. We used the sponge brush to get that dabbing look, paint splatters by flicking the brushes, creating streaks by scratching the partially dry areas of paint with our fingers or tooth brushes. Probably more...

And a lot of other things. You just keep doing stuff until you get it right and hopefully you'll have hands that look like the one below. (yes that's my hand)

Next we had to do some sealing ! It took around three coats but that was after we had finished spraying and spritzing a little more with the black and purples.

Next we had to glue in the plexiglass! Unfortunately because we had gotten a static one, it was really hard to keep the bubbles underneath due ot the air away...but it can't be helped.

Also, we had finally glued in all of the foam bits in completely so it's 100% stable and perfect.

Lastly we screwed in all of the screws and everything about it. Also, DOESN'T THAT CLOSE UP LOOK FABULOUS.

And then we had to start cleaning up...literally everything.
