CPR Project

For my CPR presentation project, I had chosen Japanese ceramics.

Using some paperclay that I had gotten from Michael's, I worked on making a teabowl.

Using aluminum foil as the base

Then slowly covering it up in air dry clay

Leading it to get even more stable than it was before

And next, painting!

I had used acrylic paints in order to get the piece right

In the end, I managed to make it look decent, showing off the fall season along with some kanji!

Bows

As many have known, I've been addicted to bows! They're absolutely adorable and very fun to make. I tend to make them when I'm absolutely bored... even if I don't have anything of the sort to go with my outfit at hand.
I made this bow out of some ribbon that we had gotten from the 99 Cents store. It's really a lovely pattern although I have to admit I was covered in red glitter!
Although I'll deal with having glitter in my hair because this bow was just too adorable!

Larger pictures after the read more!

Perhaps

Perhaps
A dream

Perhaps
a memory

I remember your name--
it rings in my head day to day.
I remember your face--
it drives me insane.

A series of events that drove me right along,
led my mind to feel what is wrong.
In which days in the past,
were like just yesterday's voice.
I woke up today,
I awoke with a choice.

One such as many appeared in my mind;
To be or not to be if thou wasn't so kind.
Forgive and forget is one most common.
To love and cherish is the most broken.
You and Me, I shriek at the thought.
My heart beats wild while my head cries stop.

In which I beg forever more.
My pain and failures came naturally;
everyday you try to cheer me on faithfully.
I can't help but cry at night.
So I woke up in pain
and despair,
but I woke in the light.

Your name flushes me in the worst ways.
The voice that compliments me makes me sway.
I don't want to remember it like 'just yesterday';
the face that made me fall in love that day

Sweet memory, You've ruined my day--
I'd rather have a nightmare than feel this way.

Matching Keychains

The first time Moses and I had matching keychains, it was a little tacky. I made some new keychains using some new techniques!

The clouds and the moons represented rest. Although the colors of the crescent moons were based on what we defined one another in terms of dreamers. (In homestuck, there are derse dreamers and prospit dreamers.) Then is a kitty donut, I used clay and acrylic paints to get it to the best I could. Then a melon pan turtle, using plastic to get the lines in, takoyaki, made with polymer clay, acrylic paints, and then a piece of a toothpick. Leaving with a letter that had a heart (in halves) with our Japanese nicknames on the back of them along with a rainbow at the edge, varying to the personality that we have.

Sweet Bunny

Last year I had made a new ring. I used a couple of pieces that I kept around since 3rd grade. The bunny was from an old classmate and the heart was from the actual ring that broke. The base is the original base from the ring that broke, and I fixed it to the best of my ability.

Although I had made the dessert with polymer clay, I managed to get everything else finished.

Bath & Body Works

I love scented candles and various scents of that sort! I certainly loved the candles that were out during the winter season at Bath & Body works. Some twisted peppermint and some toffee crunch, they were both such delightful scents, I would buy more if I had the money and time!

Rosey

Forever ago, I had made a Ring that looked a rose. For a past senior classmate of mine who had graduated, I tried my best to make something that she'd enjoy. Pretty and lacey and full of color, I think it really matched her warm and lovely personality. Keep going on Bavi!

I had made it with polymer clay, some laces, embroidery floss, a black (frayed) ribbon, and acrylic paints.

Crochet chains!

I have a tendency to crochet chains using whatever I can get my hands on. The above was made with some embroidery floss and some yarn I had gotten from Michael's. I crocheted a chain and turned it into a headband!

While this has had the same fate, I hand spun the yarn and I had used hand dyed yarns from a professional.

Yarns

Remember the yarns? I thought perhaps a little closeup of them would be enjoyable!

Wreck-It Ralph

`

Elise had given me a present after I had seen Wreck-It Ralph by Disney. Although my heart was set on the Vanellope edition, she gave me the bag with Ralph on it. These are lunch bags that came with your purchase of a kid's meal at Subway. I thought it was adorable, as is the movie. I'd definitely see it again, so you should too!

Beaded ears

Forever ago, I had a project where I wanted to mimic a design I saw online. A trend that has happened frequently involved the use of the cat ears. Taking a headband and a couple of beads I had lying around from an old bracelet I owned as a child served some use. I used jewelry/craft wire to keep it in place, although using a more stable jewelry wire would have been more efficient.
Although I didn't look at any tutorials, I think that it looks pretty interesting! Almost cute to be honest...hehe!

Yarn

Here's an overall view of all the yarn that I had spun myself. While a couple of the yarns were made with someone else's hand dyed yarn, the yarn on the far left was made and hand dyed by yours truly!

Mosaic Frame before (?)

Oh gosh...I don't know if I like this all that much...I think I'll change it

Wool Roving

For our spinning unit, when we were taught how to spin yarn by hand instead of purchasing from a store, we were given the ability to use hand dyed yarns from famous artists. They were lovely to work with, and they had the most beautiful color schemes.

appliquilt Journals Part 1

For our 3rd quarter final we have to make a journal using the fabric that we had tye-dyed (along with the ones that we had dyed using the eco dyes). For my piece, I had not been sure as to how I should have started mine off at the time... but my piece is now commendable for a 'go with the flow' idea!

Before Ideas (above)
Finished designs (below)

The words say, "The days go by and no one loves me". The theme of my journal is stray cats. Strays tend to be left alone and left aside while they live on the streets finding for some way to survive. Although this is also common in other animals such as dogs, I felt that having a cat theme would match the color scheme I had more than the dog would have.

Although my chicken scratch isn't finished (and I sort of enjoy it, but I understand that it looks a bit too busy for the subtle look I was going for...darn..)

For the little bits and things of the sort that were embellished onto the fabric, they were glued down with tacky. It works fairly well speaking that it's not specifically a fabric glue!

White Day + Giri Choco

On March 14th, it was White Day. White day is the day where the guys give the girls something after the girls had given them chocolates on Valentine's Day. The gift that the guys give the girl have to be white.

For white day, Moses had given me a scalemate. Handsewn with red and white fleece fabric and those sweet brown polka dotted eyes. Although the scalemate isn't perfect (especially since his head and feet were close to falling off due to Moses's craftsmanship) he's absolutely the cutest plush I have to date.

Remember when I was mentioning giri choco? I had made DIY s'mores packages! They came with a couple of hershey's milk chocolate, marshmallows, and Honey Maid graham crackers. I made two because I had two different people assigned to me (Giri choco + white day are both cultural events and assignments for the Japanese class). I had received both white chocolate and the scalemate on white day. It was definitely worth the time putting together the s'mores packages!

Eco Dyes

Here's a couple of pictures of my Eco dyes! Sorry for the fact that they're a little more than just wrinkled.

For eco dying, you would take natural plants and flowers and various environmentally related things to help obtain the designs and colors that you get. You would then wrap it up with a stick and some yarn.

(To be completely honest, I have no idea as to what I put with the fabric, but this piece was boiled in water to get that nice brown look.)

Pretty cool!

For the most part, I have to admit. I loved this piece the most! (although I have no memory of what I dyed it in...perhaps the blackberry?)

Sticker party!

One of the few things that always happen are me and a group of friends bringing a ton of stickers to school just to decorate letters and gifts and just to decorate whatever it would be.

Every little detail

Forever ago when my sister and I had more time together, we had gone to a concert. It involved pianists  that played by themselves along with collaborations with one another. It was fantastic and at the end, they gave us food.

Birds Nest

One of the assignments for the beginning 3D art class is that we had to make a bird's nest. My friend Reis made his bird's nest and it was the best in the class. For ideas and craftsmanship, he did a really swell job!

As for mine, It isn't all that grand. A bit hazy for the most part. I don't have all that great of craftsmanship. But my button chain surely made up for it!

Then Priyanka and I had worked on a paper mache-like piece with string and water balloons to make eggs. We had then spray painted them. They came out looking wonderfully!

I'm still trying to take a liking to it. Haha!
