Los Angeles County Arboretum and Botanic Garden (Mobile Photos)

Hey guys! So the other day, my mom had insisted that we go to one of the gardens that she was interested in seeing which had led us all the way over here:

The Los Angeles County Arboretum and Botanic Garden, 127 acres, is an arboretum, botanical garden, and historical site nestled into hills near the San Gabriel Mountains, at 301 North Baldwin Avenue, Arcadia, California, USA. WikipediaAddress: 301 N Baldwin Ave, Arcadia, CA 91007Hours:
Open today · 9:00 am – 4:30 pm

It was incredibly interesting and very, very beautiful too. I really enjoyed all of it!

If you're interested in seeing the pictures (I'd definitely recommend it because they are all stunning, even if they were quickly taken using my mobile phone's camera) please follow through the read more. Although unlike other times, there won't be any captions or little text talks...I've been getting a little too busy recently and I'm really sorry about that!

Registration Day!!

So registration day had come up and thank goodness! It turns out that my schedule wasn't going to be as troublesome as I had originally thought it would be. I'm so happy that I'm going to be dealing with great teachers, great classes, and that I won't have to worry about anything other than a single textbook!

Senior year here I come! Thank god though, I managed to get the same locker as my sister when she was a senior here at Whitney too. I don't know why... but it just makes me happy knowing that.

Kiki's Delivery Service (Cosplay Update)

Hey guys! Just a little update on my Kiki cosplay! I'm currently in the process of making a new dress, but thank goodness the wig that my sister had gotten me came in!!

It's a nice, short layered black bob and it's fairly nice for a Kiki cosplay don't you think?

I plan on posting a review of this wig and my pastel-y one also sometime soon on my fashion blog. If you're interested, stay tuned!

And as always, just follow through the read more for more pictures!

Downtown Disney & Free Time

So a while back I'd gone to Downtown Disney! There's so much to see when you're there...although most of what I'd seen were the usual little trinkets and shops. I think it's honestly much, much more interesting with friends too! I really had a lot of fun.

We'd gone through the entire place, running around Disney. Inside shops, outside of shops, this and that. It was really hilarious because Jeremy, Victor, and Ishida were often being a bunch of lame kids...even though they're much older than me.

Also, it's Disney so we're obligated to take pictures like the above and below!!

I really wanted these ears because I'm a huge fan of halloween and disney's halloween designs (I'm especially jealous of the designs that they produce in Japan because those are just A+ one of a kind!!)

Welp. In the end I didn't get any souvenirs or gifts or anything of that sort. I was really interested in getting the minnie mouse at the very top or one of these realistic food magnets...but I didn't have enough money in the end!! Thankfully Victor had bought me a coffee to cheer me up. I wouldn't know what to do without you guys.

Well that's all that's really important here. The rest of the time, we were goofing around and the guys started playing with the wooden swords that Jeremy made. Poorly crafted, but hilarious to use because the boys kept snapping them on accident.

Anything beyond here are photos but they're not just repeats or rejects like the usual posts, they're just pictures that I thought weren't as great to fit in due to lengths of the post!

Starry Pancakes

As of late, I've found myself eating more and more pancake and breakfast related foods. They were often covered in ice cream and chocolate syrup...as always...but I can't help myself!

Yum!

Dinner time!

So lately my mom has had me helping her in the kitchen and she wanted to try out a recipe that she'd seen online...and in the end, according to my brother, it tasted a lot like the food that you'd eat when you'd go out for Korean BBQ..?

Snapchat compilation

My phone has a natural tendency to save all of my pictures to my dropbox...which I don't mind at all. I screenshot my snapchats just to amuse myself later in my life..that's about it though.

Taco Surf

Like I'd mentioned in a previous post, my family had found their way to Seal beach all of a sudden and later, we'd found ourselves incredibly hungry without any idea of what to eat. Thankfully, we'd found ourselves at a local taco shop called Taco Surf.

The place was interestingly decorated and the service was decent. They'd often provide what we had called the endless supply of chips and salsa (although the salsa was apparently limited..in comparison to the chips).

The food wasn't that bad..but it wasn't all that great either. Nonetheless, it was nice!

We had a lot of bonding too, so that was very comforting in the grand scheme of things.

And we'd gotten churros! There's a lot to love about churros. Welp, if you're interested in other pictures, as usual just click through the read more!

Nisei Week >°))))彡

Hey everyone! So one of the beauties of work is enjoying yourself at fun nearby events. The other week, there was a Tanabata festival event that's also well known as Nisei Week in Little Tokyo. The entire event was tremendously fun and incredibly colorful!

The entire plaza was as pretty and wonderfully decorated as ever. Incredibly lively and full of people! There were also so many cutely dressed people. It ranged from kimono (mostly yukata) to lolita to cosplay to even expensive high end fairy kei styles! I got so jealous just seeing everyone..

I was so interested in visiting just about everything, I didn't realize that I'd wandered into the sanrio store once again...and I was so incredibly interested in this super cute hello kitty taco themed plush!

Also, I thought it'd be incredibly fun to take a picture of the official poster of this year's Nisei week! Although...I have to admit, because it was sunny and because it was on the other side of a window, you're left with a somewhat crummy window shot with a reflection of my silly outfit...

But while we were wandering around the plaza, we'd seen a lot of super cute plushes and items!

It wasn't too soon until we found ourselves in the plaza and I found out about this amazing shop called the Fairytale Boutique on the first floor of the Little Tokyo mall. Also, I was absolutely interested in everything that there was in the shop...but Reis had stopped me before I made any stupid purchases...given my wallet's amount and all.

Oh! And these amazing people, all of which I can't seem to remember the names of (except for the guy because I had this super fun talk with him each time I'd passed by...his name was Ariel I believe!)...they were all so amazing and super friendly. I really enjoyed the company!

Also, did I mention that we'd found our way to some photo booths? It was absolutely amazing and definitely worthwhile and fun. It does look like I cut my hair though...but Reis said it looked cute regardless...so I didn't mind so much after all.

While we waited for the photos to print, we had been messing around with the photo booth's little time killer matching game. I kept failing, but Reis didn't seem like he was having too hard of a time...although you can't really get that from the picture I'd taken haha;;

Although I didn't pay to write a wish for tanabata, I really enjoyed reading all of the papers! I've written on these papers just about every time I've visited Little Tokyo. I remember the first time I'd tried it was with Kevin back in 2011 and he had made so much fun of me and we were called the "anime couple" by one of the shop owners.

We'd also gotten some takoyaki at a nearby stall, although it didn't taste as great as I'd last remembered when I got takoyaki with Priscila at the festival/faire event that was held in Orange County. I felt a little bad that this was the takoyaki that Kevin had eaten (and then told us about), but on the other hand...I just wanted to say something like "THE JOKE'S ON YOU! THERE WAS A BETTER STALL ACROSS THE STREET" because I'm an ass like that.

They were all absolutely stunning!

And he was absolutely amazing at playing, which was a little surprising. Even Reis kept commenting about how good he was each time he heard him when we'd pass by or get somewhat close.

Soon enough, I found myself getting hungry and Reis went out of his way to get me melon bread!! I was incredibly happy...super happy.

Did I mention that Hello Kitty was the parade marshal? It was super interesting and excitingly cute!

Reis and I had then waited around for the parade so that we could see Ishida, Victor, Kevin, and Jeremy as they performed in the nisei week marching band. They were pretty good, I was so happy to see them too. Those are definitely my boys!!

Before we'd leave, we had quickly gotten ourselves some takoyaki again, but this time it was definitely better and had that amazing taste that I remembered so well!!

After a while, we'd decided that we were getting hungry so we'd gotten something to eat at a nearby restaurant called Zencu sushi & grill which had been located on the second floor of the Little Tokyo mall.

The food itself was decent. It wasn't great but it wasn't all that bad either. Reis and I both agreed that it was worth the three stars it had on yelp. Nonetheless, we had a nice time even though I was dehydrated, had a lack of sleep and energy which made me exhausted faster than I'd expected, and had misplaced my allergy medication so that I was dealing with a variety of troubles..

As a heads up, anything beyond this boundary doesn't have any text or captions! It's pure pictures.
