Dysfunctional creativity

For some ungodly reason I ended up feeling really out of it. Although, instead of taking it out on my self esteem as usual... I decided I'd throw some stuff together!

A while back I stumbled upon this collection of very interesting what nots. The websites were all made by Tim Holman who resides in New York.

I thought it was actually quite interesting...if anything.

Oh no, not again..

Did I always have this really bad habit of drawing awkward looking doodles on my desk last year?

Did this count?

So one day, long long ago in the depths of late last year, I this one game with Josh, Augustine, and almost Leonard.

Pretty rad I guess
I forgot what I was really going to say I'm sorry

Hand Dyed Yarn!

Dyed yarn! So for our first assignment in 3D art intermediate was to make our own knitting needles and yarn and the beauty behind this is how fun it was!

We dyed the yarn by turning them into skeins and then watering down some of Wilson's food coloring to obtain a wonderful color. Although I had the nerve to dye some of my yarn in the tie dye

This was one of our preliminaries... although it was pretty bad haha...

This one right here was my favorite. It looked like a cat!

Bento Making ;u;

I was asked to make boxed lunches for some of my alumni friends and my brother and myself.

It wasn't...bad?

Hairpin!

Remember this picture? Of my wonderful model Reis and the hairpin that I made a couple of days before school ended?

I used some buttons and beads and a couple of bits of wire for embellishing it...

Along with it being made out of cheesecloth, tulle, some fancy fabrics and a couple of bits and pieces of satin here and there!

Talk about 3D and pretty!

Knitting Needle Tops!

Made out of polymer clay and their faces were painted on with tulip paint.

A look through the eyes of felted poodle skirts

Oh gosh! Talk about time for Bye Bye birdie again! I came to the conclusion I'd put the pictures in similar posts right after another so I don't randomly burst out of the blue again with them after finding them in an album or on my camera again!

If you're interested, why not take a peek and see what goes on behind the scenes via the one and only costume crew of 2013?

A little bit of intermission for the musical edition ( BYE BYE BIRDIE EDITION)

Just click the read more and you get to see all the goofy things that occur at a Whitney musical production whilst working.

Whitney's musical for the year of 2013 was Bye Bye Birdie with Ben and I on their costume crew. Woohoo!

Pestoskey stone wire necklace

Hey guys! So this is a very old post that should've been posted...long,long ago. But here we go! So the Robotics FLL team went to their competition in St. Louis and because I know..well..almost all of them (somehow)...I was brought back a couple of things.

Above is the stone that Sophia brought back as a gift from other teams and she gave it to me! Now while most people will go ahead and say, "What the heck am I supposed to do with a rock?!" I went ahead of myself and made it into a pendant for a necklace!

Since we were in our wire unit, I had access to some wire, both good and some that needed to be recycled. In the end, I somehow came up with this lovely little design. Which, honestly, I really like! I put it on the braided twine that Moses made for me from when he made me the necklace with the cross he carved and made with a peppermint bone (thing?? woops).

It makes me very happy to be quite honest!
I really love it! Thanks you guys.

knitting needles (full post) hmm...

Pretty rad don't you agree? We had to take dowels and sand them down after sawing them. We had to then stain and create polymer clay pieces to be tops!
