Flowers

So way back when, Moses and I went out on a date to Town Center and he let me put together a lovely little bouquet of fake flowers that were being sold in Walmart at the time.

They're my favorite!

the last day of the school year 2012

For Christmas, Zoe gave out cookies and Kevin Tang gave me some matching charm chains.

There's not much words here for me to say so I'll just leave pictures around.

Wire working

So forever ago, one of our finals for art was to make a hanging chain. I did so, but in the process, I overdid just about everything. This piece of the chain is a pretty cool piece. I procrastinated and I was winging it as I went along, but it looks fantastic. I sewed the heart by using the whip stitch and then stuffed it. The wire I had worked with fire and then hammered it down. Then at the top, I had tied lace, some brown embroidery floss, and a little bit of twine.

Cotton Adventures

Forever ago, my teacher had taught the class how to spin yarn. I ended up getting so bored out of my mind that I ended up spinning some cotton balls to make yarn. I plied them over one another after and didn't get that much because I goof'd after.

Candy Coal

So way back when, I had bought some candy at this store by the condo we rent out in Long Beach. I always thought coal was a funny thing so having it as candy is adorable!

It is made up of almost completely cinnamon and is fairly weird if you keep thinking about it.

Though I have never tried eating it,I thought it was cute to have as a decoration. Truth be told, creativity is cute and clever!

Paper Wallet

So, back in the day... I figured out how to make wallets out of paper. I printed out what my friends wanted and turned them into wallets for them to keep and carry around. In the end, it came out pretty nicely. This one I made for my friend Kyla.

As for this, this is my second wallet that I had made for Elise. The wallets I make are all specially made, a couple have more than 3 areas for money to be kept along with photos for wallet sized pictures and gift cards.

Cuepics

Hey guys! I'm just going to drop this down here.

Joking and harassment obviously!

And now, I will feature the lovely bad that Zoe gave me and the little bunny tail- I mean ball of fuzz that Zoe gave to me that I attached Lily's handmade bow to.

Looks like it came out of one of my animus! (joking)

Decoden

For Valentine's day, I made a Decoden top for a round tin container. The 'frosting' is made up out of silicon icing. I used DAP.

I kind of threw it together to be frank. I had a towel paper roll leftover from when we cleaned the condo a while back. Along with pinecones, old pastries and things from when I made the miniature bakery and a couple of little randoms.

On the other hand, I had taken the cake, the donut, and the chococat charm. The cake and the donut have been with me since childhood whereas the chococat charm came with my chococat messenger bag.

Whoohoo side views!

Polymer clay, air dry clay, hot glue galore! Hello acrylic paints, you've found your place with me. Haha!

Happy late Valentine's day!

Handmade Necklace

A while ago, I had taken a liking to viewing fashion designs from Japan. One of my favorite parts of viewing the designs would be to look at the accessories.

The accessory that this tutorial is based off of an accessory from the Everlasting Sprout 2012 collection.

The materials I used for this necklace are:

Black sewing thread
Scissors
Felt
A sharp needle
Beads

Extras I used:

Buttons
pom pom  balls
A chain
Wire working tools

Neko Nyan Sweater Tutorial

Hello! Today, I will be showing you how to give a jacket of yours a whole new makeover with a simple cat design.

(These are awkward to NO END.. sorry!)

(Also, featuring the cat ears that I made a while ago..hehe!)

What you'll need is:

A jacket
Scissors
A printed version of the design
acrylic paint (of your choice)
a paintbrush

First, take the design and your scissors and start cutting out all the black lines.

It should look like this when you lift it up.

Next, you'll need to take the brush and acrylic paint

And the jacket

And you'll have to start painting over the design. The design is now working as a stencil!

After you finish painting, it should come out looking as below.

Although, I didn't use a stencil, I freehanded my writing in hiragana.

In romaji, it is read as "Neko Nya~n"

After the paint dries, you're free to wear it around as you please!

Helpful Tip: If you make a mistake, a method to removing acrylic paint from a jacket would be to use Isopropyl alcohol, or rubbing alcohol. You'd rub the spot with a towel or so and then perhaps put it in the wash. It worked out when I was making my Maid of Life jacket a while ago!

How cheesy

Aside from making the actual felt ball, we had to shape it into a shape for the rest of the assignment.

But my felt ball looks similar to a rat with no face.

Then while waiting for my rat to dry, I ended up drawing an eevee in my planner.

On the other hand, while I was still making mine, my classmate Leah was making a minion from Despicable Me for her felt piece.

Not only is her piece adorable, but she is too. Heehee

As for my piece, I decided to attach two ears made from things I found in the classroom, with beads for a face.

I hand wound the thread around the ears, and on this side I embroidered the word cheese.

On the other side I embroidered a heart.

I attached a tail and made a bow out of felt.

And then I cut out a couple of pieces of felt and turned them into cheese, as you can see above and below, and then I strung them all together with a couple of beads in between.

I attached them to the tail of the mouse. This is the finished product, and below, in comparison to the rest of the class
