Felt Balls

As one of the assignments, we had to felt some wool roving into a ball. In order to felt a ball,  we needed a bowl of hot water, and a bowl of cold water. They both had to be mixed with soap.

The white water was the hot water, while the bowl with the pink water was cold.

 The situation was awkward though. 

You would dip it in the hot water, then dip it into the cold water..

 then push the felt down into the nylon, making it smaller, 

while dipping it back and forth in hot and cold

When you feel that your ball is ready, you can take it out of the nylon and start working by itself. 

You can roll the ball around to make it look better, 

and in the end you rinse it.

 It was quite tedious..
