So for my cosplay of Kirishima Moe from the Hello Kitty to Issho! project, I needed to have a black bag that looked somewhat similar to the schoolbags that they use in Japan...but unfortunately, bags like those cost somewhere in the ballpark of $20-70.
So I had painted an old bag I had from my elementary school band days with some acrylic paint and thank goodness it looks somewhat similar to the bag I needed!
Although I only painted the outside so it still looks the same when you open it.
